Overview of Timely Topics at IFMA World Workplace
IFMA’s World Workplace 2009 in Orlando, Fla. attracting an estimated 3,800 attendees from nearly 35 countries. During the three days of the event there were over 80 educational sessions and 9 separate facility tours to choose from in addition to the educational opportunities presented by the 100’s of trade show booths and the myriad of exhibitors present. Add to this the numerous council and foundation meetings, chapter and council liaison training and the annual IFMA Business meeting, and you might not think there would be any time left for a little fun. But somehow we found the time and energy for events and celebrations every evening concluding with the Awards of Excellence on Friday evening. This presentation will give an over view of what World Work Place is all about for those that have yet to attend and a fun reminiscence for those that know what a worthwhile investment of time and money WWP represents to Facility Professionals and those that support them.
John McDonough FMP is manager of business development and a member of the senior leadership team with Facility Engineering Associates. He currently serves as Vice President of the Denver Chapter of IFMA and has participated in each of the last 5 IFMA World Work Place events.
